Belkin is a Brick in Europe May 20, 2010 Eddie Music (Stuttgart, BW, FRG) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I live in Germany and own a W303V T-Com Router/Modem and it works well. I purchased the Belkin N Wireless Router to increase the range and provide more ethernet ports. It seemed like an awesome and simple product to install...WRONG! After following the installation instructions, I found the CD installation assistance couldn't read the router. I tinkered with the setup (IPS 192.168.2.1) and tried every combination to connect the LAN, but that blasted Router and sometimes Globe icon mocked my endeavors with their blinking Yellow disconnection lights. I worked the W303V T-Com router for port forwarding, PPPOE Pass through, and Dynamic IPS required a subscription. I did the same to the Belkin along with PPTP (Europe Only) configurations.
I finally contacted Belkin's friendly, but useless customer service. As I explained the situation four different ways in four different emails, I found that I had more knowledge then the Tech and we still couldn't fix the problem...AARRGH!
As this does not even work in Europe, I wish I could rate this as a -1 Star because I lost money. I envy you in the States that do not have this problem. Hope this helps those in Europe when making the decision to purchase a Belkin
Solid purchase April 14, 2010 Orconectes (Pennsylvania) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am not an IT professional, just the typical computer savy parent. This was a breeze to install but for searching for an updated driver for our circa 2003 Dell. If you have a newer computer, I bet you will have this installed in under an hour.
Reliable and Fast/Great connection March 29, 2010 Dakine (Boston, MA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I took a lot of time researching and contemplating the pros and cons between the cisco system and the belkin wireless router. I'm happy and glad to say that I picked the belkin wireless router. My roommate has an apple and I have a pc. Both work perfectly with great wireless signal that is quick and reliable. I've never had a problem with the connection or speed.
I previously had a cisco system which worked well too but would drop signal (rare occurance) and was a little slower. Speed could be contributed to the fact that it wasn't an N router. Cisco was still not a bad product.
Cisco was fine but I really enjoy my belkin router and would buy another belkin product.
The Best Wireless Router March 24, 2010 Natasha Williamson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the best wireless router I've had. Any problems we may have had with it, we called the company and no matter how long it took, they got us working. It was not the product, it was our human error. Once this router was hooked up properly, the ease of loading the software and it started right up. Everything wireless is now hooked up and it's truly wonderful. I've definitely recommended it to family and friends. The price I got it for was fantabulous....well worth the buy. Since I've been hooked up I have not had a problem since....

This router was purchased because I have been in the electronics industry for about 35 years.
Belkin is a name that I have been familiar with and have associated with quality. This produce did not disappoint.
Easy to set-up, works with great range and speed.
I would recommend this to my friends who are looking for a wireless router.
