This is a great little USB port. I found I have way too many things needing to plug in, so this 7 port is fantastic. I rated backlighting as "don't like it" cause I'd really rather it didn't light up. But it's a great item to have. And shipping was quick!

After reading the most common complaint about this USB hub, I realized it was the perfect solution to a problem of mine.
The way my computer sits under my desk, it gets very little light--which makes it difficult to work on connections in the back. With this hub sitting behind it, I never have to run and get a flashlight.

This is a functional USB hub that's worked for great for me over the past 18 months I've used it. It's been in use daily during this time and has never had any issues. While it feels pretty cheap, as long as you're not packing it around constantly, it should continue to function for a long time. The main draw back are its two really bright blue LEDs. If you're planning on using this near a computer used for watching films are playing games, the lights will prove annoying.

If I hadn't opened the packages and it didn't cost about as much to return the two of these that I bought, I'd ship these right back.
The power cord on this unit is just next to useless. Unless you've got an outlet within half an arm's reach from where you want to place this hub, avoid it.

This is a great USB 2.0 hub. I've used other USB hubs in the past that were labeled as "2.0" but they failed to charge my iPod. This device does the job very well. Data transfer is fast. I keep this hub in a drawer, so it's great that it has lights on it to illuminates the drawer when the room is dark.
