This is a great 7 port hub. It takes up very little space on my desk, yet it is very functional. I'm able to transfer files just as fast as if I was plugged into the usb ports on my computer. The only downside is the power cable is short. You will need an outlet or power strip near by. Overall, I love it...100% satisfied.

I've been using the hub for 2 days.
The cord is way too short but a 3' extension cord allowed me to connect it to my surge protector.
1 star for the cord.
I've connected a printer, scanner and 3 external HDDs to the hub. All are working fine.
4 stars to Usuability and Size.
The only problem I've had is some cables didn't stay connected.
I solved it by pinching the end of the cable with my fingers.
The plastic case is too thin, you can see through it and it feels cheap.
2 stars for Construction.
Would I recommend this to a friend? For a hub for under $20, yes.

I just needed something to bring some sanity into my nest of USB wires. This was perfect. It is small, compact, and does what it is supposed to do. No lights, which is a plus to me. The AC adapter is 4 amps, meaning all 7 ports can provide the max USB-spec current of 500mA each at the same time. The power cable is so short it's not funny. But all things considered, this is a great product.

If you can get one of these for under $20, buy it. USB 3.0 is coming soon, so wait if you can. The power cord on these Belkin units is really short, under 3 feet, but this unit doesn't have the irritating lights of a similar Belkin model. Speed and reliability seem okay.
