It does what it's supposed to...and other stuff too! September 4, 2010 Riot (Portland) The media hub works fine, no complaints on the function BUT it does this thing where it periodically flickers, power comes and goes for periods of about 3-5 minutes once every other day. The noise of my computer recognizing and losing signal wouldn't be so bad if the data on my external hard drive weren't being corrupted and I didn't have 3 menus pop up every time my computer recognized the harddrive.
Medialink June 27, 2010 Mike Smith (Baytown, TX) All my toys are now hooked up and ready to go! Easy as pie, just plug it in and your PC will find it.
An Excellent and Beautiful USB Hub June 18, 2010 Rhythm N' Blue (Sydney/Saigon/Irvine/Waikiki) I've only had this hub for about a week so I can't comment on its long-term functionality or longevity, but right out of the box this thing looks beautiful.
Its sleek glossy black plastic with chrome accents look sleek and stylish.
The top port is perfect for a USB flash thumb drive, which I use as ReadyBoost for my netbook HT-PC.
It's also very compact, roughly about 2 1/4" wide by 2 1/2" long and 1/2" thick, and very light, and it has 4 small rubber stoppers to help keep it from sliding around.
And at just a little more than a "Hamilton," it is uber-cheap, so you really have nothing to lose.
Nothing is perfect in life, and everyone gets a lemon product sometimes, no matter what it is, so don't let a product at this price make you think twice about getting it or not.
Either you do or you don't, but I love mine!
Great design May 14, 2010 Shopper (Cordova, TN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The reviews on this were mixed and I was hesitant to order. The price was good and the features seemed to be just what I needed, so I ordered. I am very glad I did. This USB hub is the perfect design for me! I have been able to use it with all the ports in use PLUS the second one on my computer with NO PROBLEM! No power source needed at all! I highly recommend for those who have multiple odd shaped devices to plug in at one time.
Perfect Hub April 30, 2010 Michael P. Salamom 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pros:
1. Looks great
2. Top port is great for my flash drives and drive mate/card reader
3. Doesn't slide around on my desk (rubber feet)
4. Provides 4 ports with high speed transfer rates
5. Fit all 4 USB devices into ports with room to spare (in contrast to other in-line hubs that I've had in the past)
6. Small and portable (although it has become a permanent fixture in computer room)
7. Plug and Play
Cons:
1. No power supply included (although I have not needed one for anything I've used with this hub)
Recommendation: BUY IT!! You will love it.
