It just works July 23, 2010 Mark This is a plug and run switch .I put this switch into my home network at my tv.Iam running my xbox,ps3,wd tv live plus, and one pc. Nothing to setup-it just works! And it's fast.
Great product June 28, 2010 Ken All that this switch required me to do was plug power to it and attach the RJ45 cables. WaLA. It was working great.
Great product June 24, 2010 C Arlen (San Diego, CA) I had my 5-port switch up and running in about 30 seconds. The great thing about a switch versus a hub is that a switch keeps all of the local internet traffic between local computers in the switch. A hub will send ALL traffic upstream to your modem, thereby causing WWW traffic slowdowns.
fast and reliable June 11, 2010 mwbasm This is probably my 5th or 6th netgear switch. No fans, cool to the touch, no sound, they run for forever without having to be cycled. All ports are auto-uplink, so you can't plug it in the wrong port even if you tried.
great for the price May 29, 2010 J Lan (Jacksonville, FL) Great product for the price, but one of mine shorted out. I've been using them as branches off of my main switch and they work great for drop points along the network. Like I said, I was happy with it until it got toasted, now I think I'll take the logic board to the range for some practice. The metal box is constructed very nicely though.
