This device is quite pleasant to use and the sound quality is very good. We were pleasantly surprised. We set up a dedicated Asus EEE netbook to house our music collection and this device integrates seamlessly with it and broadcasts its music throughout our apartment. Considering how much radio interference there is in Manhattan, this is a great achievement. Now we simply move the speakers wherever we want and connect the speakers to the wireless receiver and we are set. The remote control works very well, although there are functions we have not yet used. We also find it a plus that we can connect any mp3 player to the device and broadcast its music throughout the house. So happy are we the device that we are thinking of getting one for our Mexico home, although there this device will likely face serious challenges as the house has stone walls that are over 1.5 feet thick, and we have not been able to even get a very powerful wireless phone to broadcast from the living-room in the second floor to a room in the third floor, or even the first floor. I highly recommend this device for people that hate unsightly wires allover the place. Now we can enjoy more than ever listening to our favorite classical stations from around the world with the comfort of knowing that we can listen to the music anywhere in the house we choose, and without having to move both the laptop and the speakers. I am happy to recommend this product.

Just A Quick Review Of The Creative Labs Xmod Wireless Music System With X-FI. This Might Be The Best Tech Product I've Bought In A While. Reasons 1.Super Easy Set Up. You Don't Need To Be A Tech Geek To Set This Up. 2.Price Was Great. Try To Get It For $55 Or Less. Price Fluctuates. 3. Sound Was Great. Blasting It Thru My Classic JBL Century 100's. And The X-Fi Crystalizer Does Make The Low Bit Rate Mp3's Sound Crisper. I Know Some People Said It Messed With Their WiFi But No Problem Here. If That's Your Concern I Would Suggest Getting A 10 Foot USB Cable To Help Move It From WiFi Source.But I Didn't see the need. Every Body's WiFi Is A Little Different. Also Some Say The Set Up Direction Are A Little Weak. But It's So Simple To Set Up How Much Directions Do You Really Need! A Few Tips. If Your Using The Xmod To Play Music From Your PC To Your Stereo System And You Still Use A Cassette Deck(Yes Some Of Us Still Use Them For Rare/Collectible Music)Get A Couple Phono Plug Y Splitters So You Can Still Use Your Cassette Player And The Xmod At The Same Time.I Found The Xmod Worked Best Hooked Up Thru My Tape Deck InPlug On My Receiver.So If You Want To Use Both Hence The Splitter.Also The Xmod Doesn't Sync With All Media Players. But That's Good If You Want To Listen To Your Computer Speaker Only. I Use Media Monkey For When I Want The Xmod To Play Tunes Thru My Stereo System. The Remote Control Works Great With Media Monkey. And I Use Another Media Player That It Doesn't Sync With When I Just Want To Use My PC Speakers. The Xmod Has To Be Turned Off Or It Will Block Your PC Speakers. No Problem.This Way I Have Complete Control.You Can Also Hook Up Your PC Speakers Straight Thru The Xmod But You'll Have Less Control. Last Tip. Turn Your Media Player's Volume All The Way Up. Turn The Xmod's Volume All The Way Up. Now Control The Volume Thru Your Receiver.Same Thing For The Volume On Your PC Speakers. Just Use Your PC Volume Control. I Give This Product A 10 Out Of 10.Just About Perfect.

Never got it to work. I spent 1 hour on my own trying and an additional 45 minutes with tech support. Nothing. Sent it back for refund.

Works fairly well but if you want perfect sound, go with a wired solution. I used the setup to connect two receivers about 20 feet away. I'm going from the upstairs lofted area down into the main level. I wanted to have the same music playing on both levels.
Even though the lag is small, it is noticeable when you stand between the two speakers. Sounds like an echo. I'm sure this would be okay if the speakers were in different rooms where you could only hear one set at a time. I also noticed skips in the sound every once in a while. I do live in the city condo where there are many wireless networks to compete with.
I think the quality of this product is good, but my conditions are not ideal for it.
