I received the Logitech VideoCam and was surprised at one, how easy and quick the setup took; second, I was amazed at the quality of the picture. This is my first time at WebCam and was apprehensive at the standard of quality. But in 1,2,3 steps it was up. The voices are clear and it depends whether you use Logitech viewing or Skype, but Logitech has a more refined lip movement to voice coordination. Again...this is a perfect picture!
Surprisingly, the 3MP photo option is quite impressive. I love the shoot picture instantly. You can quickly add a friend to chat with, just enter their email address. Either at your end of the recipients end you can quickly snap a picture and that pic can be the photo of choice for the friend or family. It is easy to have several different pictures on the interface of the Webcam; I dragged a few from the desktop. My webcam sits comfortably on top of the computer. If I need to remove the camera from the top of computer to show a different view of my background, or reveal other parts of the house, I can do that easily with the 5-feet long attached cord, although it could be longer.
You can make several adjustments, and the light adjustment is automatic, the mic is noise cancelling, however, I have not the need to test that yet.
What I like is that anytime someone on your contact list is at the computer, you can have a small message pop up that lets you know they are available. My two current contacts are using Windows XP; while I am on Windows Vista.
If you are someone you know is vascillating between getting a Webcam, I encourage them to do so, especially if they have family miles away like I do. Many people do not like to be on camera, and for me, I don't either because I have to look decent an any moment a call comes in. Try it.... You may like it! ....Rizzo

Probably the best webcam you will find out there for sub $25. Video is great, no lag when speaking or moving. Auto facetracking is also pretty neat. Works decently in low light levels. Microphone works great. Another great webcam by Logitech.

I love that this camera has a built in microphone. My mom has an older computer without a camera or microphone so she used to use a camera with a separate mic... very annoying for her. Now we can talk and see each other using this and it's great. The only thing I dont like is the resolution is grainy and it falls off the top of the screen a lot. But I think the fact that it has a built in mic overrides that. All in all pretty happy with this product.

It is an Ok product but difficult to naviate the controlsfor the pictures and video. It doesn't have a very secure hold on my laptop. You can find cheaper ones by Microsoft at Office Depot and Office Max stores when they are on sale.
