On the plus side the card works well with both Linux and Windows OS (except that currently I couldn't get it to work with 64bit Windows 7 correctly) the card kept becoming non-responsive. With 32bit OS it works fine, but seems to be slowww compared to the other PCs right by it (in my unofficial speed test of downloading the same file from our home NAS). Anyway, it also suffers from poor reception. Fortunately this can be remedied by adding a new antenna that sits up high.. the short ones on the card are buried down behind the PC. For this price (more expensive then most others in this category) I feel they should have included antenna extender cables and a tabletop antenna mount. My guess is that a newer driver (if they ever release one) may fix the slowness?
So, unless you need a wireless NIC for use with Linux (which this is one of the few that do) I'd avoid this one as it is overpriced and underperforming.

This adapter was purchased as a replacement to my old wmp50g wireless adapter. I recently upgraded to windows 7 on my desktop and for a while the old adapter worked fine. I updated the driver to be current with the new operating system and so I thought everything was great until the old one decided to after a couple of days to start crashing my system. Nothing seemed to work so I decided to buy this linksys adapter wmp600n and the adapter has worked great. I still have a linksys wireless router that works on the g band. Anyways my hope is to upgrade eventually the router to N band and so this will work fine until I do. Otherwise there is no problem with this adapter it works as advertised. I highly recommend it.

When 1st installed this card, it does not work, after calling Cisco Linksys tech support, the engineer guided me, found the problem, the driver blocked by Kaspersky anti-virus, changed setting, then it works.
Linksys's phone tech support waiting time is less than 2 minutes, the engineer goes right to where problem is, solved installation issue, turns out happy ending.

DVD step by step instructions and also hard copy instruction booklet. Easy to install (it was my first time installing hardware / pci adapter). Product works very well and software is intuitive and easy to encrypt.

Usually dread upgrades, but this adapter was one of the easiest upgrades we have ever made, and the speed is amazing. New life to an old PC.
